It’s visually more in line with the original trilogy. Things are dirty and aged, even the Empire…. New Order are not so shiny as they were before. So that’s cool.
The characters already look like something I am going to enjoy. I hope some of the charm and personality of Radley and Boyega translate to the screen. Han’s dialog suggests that despite their victory over the Empire, it wasn’t over. The Empire may be scattered and defeated, but what replaced it appears to be worse. Jedi have been left to myth… again.
But there were two total oversights in this trailer and they are likely intentional.
Luke Skywalker and that Death Star Looking Thing from the poster. Something tells me that they are holding on to those things as a big reveal.
Fans are speculating that Luke may actually be gone bad. I half want that to be true, just so we know that there are no rules. Turn it all on its edge.
